I graduated with a Masters’ degree in Social Work from the University of Connecticut in 2004 and obtained my License in Clinical Social Work in 2008. Since then, I have engaged in continuous professional development in the areas of Trauma and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Non-Suicidal Self-Injury, and neurobiological processes in adolescent and adult brains.
I have extensive experience working with clients with anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, abuse, neglect, and domestic violence. I work with adolescents to untangle the social and emotional demands of family, friends, and academics. Adults see me to work on current or historical challenges in their lives that are affecting their daily functioning. I work with clients to help empower healing from the stressors and demands of everyday life.
My therapeutic approaches are individualized to meet the needs of my clients. I often use a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and a person-centered approach. I am EMDR trained. I offer culturally competent services in English and Spanish.
I offer behavioral telehealth services via a HIPAA compliant platform to accommodate my clients. This allows for flexible scheduling that makes therapy more accessible in your day.
